CHAYANG TAJO, 8 Sep: A 'BC Sakhi Point' under the Chayang Tajo BMMU was inaugurated here on Tuesday.
The initiative aims to bring essential banking and digital financial services closer to rural communities, particularly women and self-help group (SHG) members. It is expected to strengthen financial inclusion, promote digital banking, and improve access to formal financial services in rural and remote areas of East Kameng district.
The initiative also provides an opportunity for women to serve as community-level banking facilitators, contributing to women's empowerment, financial literacy and livelihood generation.
The establishment of the BC Sakhi Point marks an important step towards building a more inclusive, accessible and digitally connected financial ecosystem in East Kameng. (DIPRO)
