KHONSA, 14 Jul: Tirap Deputy Commissioner Badonlum Tawsik has stressed the importance of discipline, professionalism, and punctuality in government service.

Chairing the first coordination meeting with heads of departments and officials of the DC’s office at his conference hall here on Tuesday after assuming charge as Tirap DC, Tawsik directed all officers and staff to strictly adhere to office timings and discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication, and a strong sense of accountability to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of public services.

Calling for a positive and proactive work culture, Tawsik urged departments to move away from complacency and adopt a results-oriented approach in carrying out official responsibilities.

He emphasized that government offices must remain responsive to the needs of the people and deliver services in a transparent, efficient, and citizen-friendly manner.

The DC highlighted the importance of effective inter-departmental coordination for the successful implementation of government schemes and developmental programmes across the district.

He noted that close cooperation among departments is essential for achieving better governance and ensuring that the benefits of government initiatives reach the people effectively.

Departmental functioning, administrative challenges, and ways to strengthen coordination were discussed during the interactive session. The heads of departments assured the DC of their full cooperation in enhancing governance, improving public service delivery, and working collectively towards the overall development of Tirap district.
