YUPIA, 4 Jun: Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner Lobsang Tsering emphasised that punctuality, sincerity, dedication and transparency are the foundational pillars for every government employee,and urged all staff members of the Education Department to strictly adhere to these professional ethics.
Chairing a coordination meeting of the Education Department here on Thursday, the DC highlighted the importance of the department, and stated that “teachers should look beyond standard textbooks and actively instil moral values, civic sense and ethics among students, as young minds are the easiest to mould.”
The DC directed the department to expedite all pending school land possession certificates by maintaining close liaison with the Land Department.
Appreciating the improvement in the CBSE results, Tsering encouraged the Education Department and the teaching fraternity to put in greater effort to further elevate academic performance in the coming years.
On infrastructure development, the DC advised the department to maintain close coordination with the executing agencies for civil works sanctioned under various heads, such as BE, RE and SIDF. He emphasised that regular monitoring and coordination meetings are essential to ensure quality infrastructure development in schools.
The DC also stressed the importance of cleanliness in educational institutions, and informed that discussions would soon be initiated with the department for implementation of effective waste management and waste segregation practices in school campuses.
ISSE DPC Moromi Tang delivered a detailed presentation, highlighting various departmental matters, including school merger issues, pending land possession certificates, educational initiatives undertaken under the ISSE scheme, the recent CBSE examination results, pupil-teacher ratios, and other important developments across the district.
During the meeting, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the Government Higher Secondary Schools of Balijan, Kimin and Banderdewa, along with KGBV Sagalee, for achieving a 100 percent pass percentage in the recently concluded CBSE/AISSE examinations for the academic session 2025-26.
