GUMTUNG, 1 Jul: East Kameng Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), in collaboration with the District Agriculture Office (DAO), organized an awareness-cum-training programme on natural farming at Gumtung village in Pakke Kessang district under the Khet Bachao Abhiyan on Tuesday. A total of 22 farmers participated in the programme.

Specialists from East Kameng KVK conducted technical sessions focusing on soil health management, land conservation, climate-resilient agriculture, and natural farming practices.

The KVK and DAO teams also created awareness about key government schemes, including PM-KISAN, the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), the Soil Health Card Scheme, and the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), to strengthen farmers’ access to agricultural support services.

During the interactive session, farmers from Gumtung and nearby villages shared their agricultural concerns and received technical guidance from the experts.
