PALIN, 29 Jun: As part of the ongoing Khet Bachao Abhiyan, the East Kameng Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) organised an awareness-cum-training programme on natural farming in Palin village in Pakke-Kessang district on Monday, in collaboration with the district agriculture officer’s (DAO) team.
A total of 22 farmers participated in the programme. Technical sessions were conducted by specialists from East Kameng KVK Dr W Purnima Devi and A Pandey, focusing on soil health management, land conservation, climate-resilient agriculture, and natural farming practices.
The KVK and DAO team also created awareness on key government schemes, including PM-KISAN, kisan credit card (KCC), soil health card, and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to strengthen farmers’ access to agricultural support services.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion, during which farmers from Palin and nearby villages shared local agricultural concerns and received technical guidance from the experts.
