ITANAGAR, 20 May: The Labour Commissioner, GoAP, has directed newspaper establishments in Arunachal Pradesh to submit their quarterly progress report on the implementation of the Majithia Wage Board recommendations for the months from January to March, 2026, and take necessary steps for full implementation, if not implemented yet.

In a letter addressed to managing directors/editors on 18 May, the commissioner said that the Ministry of Labour & Employment is pressing hard for full implementation of the recommendations by all newspaper establishments and timely submission of quarterly progress reports.

“All newspaper establishments are statutorily required to enforce these recommendations in their establishments,” the letter read.

The labour commissioner urged newspaper establishments to submit their January-March reports on or before 25 May, 2026, for compilation and onward submission to the ministry.
