NIRJULI, 5 Jun: As part of the ongoing combined annual training camp (CATC) organised by the 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion NCC at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), here, a motivational session was delivered by Padma Shri awardee Dr BKS Sanjay, renowned orthopaedic and spine surgeon, on the theme ‘Discipline, Ethics Lead to Excellence’.

Addressing the NCC cadets, Dr Sanjay emphasised the importance of discipline, ethical conduct, character building, and service to the nation as essential qualities for personal and professional success. Drawing from his extensive experience in the medical profession, he shared life lessons on leadership, teamwork, resilience, and the significance of maintaining integrity in all spheres of life.

He introduced the cadets to his ‘BKS Formula’ – Behaviour, Knowledge, and Skill – highlighting that true success is achieved through a balanced combination of these three attributes. He encouraged cadets to cultivate self-discipline, respect for others, effective communication skills, and a spirit of service.

Dr Sanjay also stressed the importance of road safety, responsible citizenship, and the motto ‘Not Me But You’, urging cadets to become role models in society and contribute meaningfully towards nation-building.

The session was interactive and motivational, leaving a lasting impression on the cadets. The participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from the experiences and wisdom of a distinguished national awardee whose message resonated strongly with the ideals of the NCC.
