PASIGHAT, 13 Sep: Ponung Nangkar was crowned Miss Lune 2026 at the beauty pageant organised by the Central Solung Celebration Committee here in East Siang district on Saturday night.

Api Tatin, who won the Miss Catwalk subtitle, finished as the first runner-up, while Augusty Taggu was adjudged the second runner up. Taggu also won the 'Miss Talent' subtitle.

The event also marked the culmination of Solung festivities with concluding rituals and the Aabang Ponung performed by miris (priests).

The festival was centrally celebrated in Pasighat and Poplung (Ruksin).
