SEPPA, 11 Jul: The East Kameng district administration organised a training programme on eOffice here on Friday.
The programme was conducted by the district informatics officer to facilitate effective implementation of the eOffice system across government departments in the district.
The training was attended by officials from the district administration and various line departments, including General Administration, Education, Health & Family Welfare, Agriculture, Tax & Excise, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Disaster Management, Panchayati Raj & Rural Development, engineering departments, and other government offices.
The participants received hands-on training on the eOffice platform, covering digital file management, workflow processing, electronic correspondence, and file tracking to support the transition towards a paperless and digitally enabled office environment.
The implementation of eOffice is expected to significantly enhance administrative efficiency by expediting file processing, ensuring timely disposal of official work, strengthening transparency and accountability, enabling real-time tracking of files, improving records management, and reducing paper consumption.
The initiative will also foster better inter-departmental coordination and contribute to faster, more efficient, and citizen-centric public service delivery.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening digital governance through the effective adoption of eOffice across all government offices in East Kameng, in line with the Government of India’s Digital India initiative. (DIPRO)
