LIKABALI, 19 Jun: A workshop on Udyam registration and FSSAI registration was organised by the BMMU Likabali unit at the circuit house here in Lower Siang district on Friday, with the objective of creating awareness among entrepreneurs, SHGs, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs on the importance of business registration and food safety compliance.
Among the attendees were Likabali BMM Techi Yagar, BCLH-NRLM Mipa Taduk, members of the ArSRLM, SHG presidents, and office bearers.
During the workshop, Deputy Director of Industries Tarik Nyitan highlighted the significance of Udyam registration for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, emphasising various government schemes, financial assistance, and benefits available to registered enterprises. He encouraged SHGs and individual entrepreneurs to avail of these opportunities, and assured them of all possible guidance and support from the Department of Industries.
Lower Siang Food Safety Officer Lokam Chaje delivered an informative session on FSSAI registration. He elaborated food safety standards, legal requirements, and the benefits of obtaining FSSAI certification for food business operators. He urged SHGs and food entrepreneurs to maintain quality standards to enhance marketability and consumer trust.
An interactive discussion and query session was held, providing the participants with the opportunity to seek clarification on registration procedures and related matters.
The workshop served as a platform to enhance awareness and encourage local entrepreneurs and business establishments to avail of the benefits offered under Udyam and FSSAI registration, thereby promoting entrepreneurship and ensuring food safety standards in the district. (DIPRO)
