NIRJULI, 8 Jun: The Gajraj Corps of the Indian Army conducted a motivational lecture and weapons display during the combined annual training camp of the 1 Arunachal Pradesh Battalion of the NCC at the NERIST here on Monday.

An infantry unit of the corps organised a weaponsand equipment display, in the presence of 1 AP Bn NCC CO, and its administrative officer.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 350 NCC cadets and students from various educational institutions. The display aimed to provide participants with an insight into modern military weapons, surveillance systems, and equipments employed by the Indian armed forces, many of which are indigenous.

“The event also gave students firsthand experience to interact with soldiers serving along the frontlines,which instilled a sense of belongingness that will help them and our society in being better citizens,” the NCC stated in a release.

The event played a significant role in inspiring the youths by fostering patriotism, discipline, leadership, and a sense of responsibility towards the nation. It also encouraged cadets and students to understand their duties as responsible citizens and motivated them to contribute positively towards national development and societal wellbeing, the release said.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, during which participants gained insights into the capabilities of modern military equipment and the dedication and professionalism of the Indian armed forces in safeguarding the nation.
