KAMBA, 23 Jun: Members of the All 27th Liromoba Youth Organisation (A27thLYO), under the leadership of its interim president Banya Yomgam, visited the office of the additional deputy commissioner here in West Siang district on Monday to discuss various issues related to developmental activities in Kamba circle.

During the meeting, the team highlighted the need for quality workmanship, transparency, and timely completion of ongoing public schemes. The ADC assured to monitor and cooperate with the A27thLYO team in ensuring proper implementation of projects.

The ADC also assured of full administrative support during field inspections.

Following the assurance, the A27thLYO team visited the sites of major ongoing schemes, namely, the mini secretariat in Kamba, the two-bay fire station in Kamba, the G+2 girls’ hostel at DPGC in Kamki, the science stream building at DPGC in Kamki, infrastructure development at the GUPS dairy farm, and the multipurpose hall in Kamba.

Yomgam stated that the organisation would continue to work as a bridge between the public and the administration to ensure that public funds are utilised properly for the benefit of the people of Liromoba constituency.

Meanwhile, a team of the A27thLYO, led by Yomgam, visited Darak administrative circle on Tuesday and inspected the Government Secondary School (GSS) there. The team also inspected the ongoing construction of the headmaster’s quarters, teachers’ quarters, boys’ hostel and girls’ hostel.

During discussion with the in-charge headmaster, the issue of shortage of teaching staff at the school was highlighted.

Yomgam assured that the A27thLYO would submit a representation to the education commissioner and the school education director for posting of teaching staff at the GSS Darak. The representation will be submitted after completion of the ongoing constituency tour, within one week, he said.

The team also visited the construction site of Sijir Raksap bridge and inspected the Darak to Belo PMGSY road to assess the status of ongoing developmental works in the area.

During the visit, interactions were held with local stakeholders to understand the needs of the area.(DIPR)
