BALIJAN, 13 Jun: The Papum Pare KVK organised a programme on the Khet Bachao Abhiyan here on Friday, in collaboration with the district agriculture office.
A total of 142 farmers from Tubung, Lenka and Balijan villages participated in the programme.
A team of experts from the KVK and staff from the ADO office sensitised the farmers to balanced use of fertilisers, and the detrimental effects of overuse of fertiliser on soil and human health.
The experts also highlighted natural farming, use of biofertiliser, bio manures and biopesticides for crop production.
