ITANAGAR, 9 Aug: The Siliguri Arunachal Pensioners' Welfare Association has donated Rs 1.06 lakh to the Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) for families affected by the recent floods in the state that severely affected several districts.

"We are deeply saddened to know that the recent devastating flood has caused immense hardship and suffering to the lives of our brothers and sisters of Arunachal Pradesh. In this crisis, we cannot ignore our moral responsibilities. Although we have very limited capabilities and resources, we managed to gather a small amount to contribute towards the CMRF Arunachal Pradesh," the Siliguri (West Bengal)-based association stated in a letter.
